Present Continuous, Past Continuous and Future Continuous Tense


1. Present Continuous  Tense
        
        The Present Continuous Tense is mainly used to express the idea that something is happening at the moment of speaking. The present Continuous also describe activities generally in progress.

Here is formula of Present Continuous Tense

1. Positif (+)
    Subject + be (am,is,are) + Verb_ing (Ving)
    eg : My mother is cooking 

2. Negatif (-)
    Subject + be (am,is,are) + not + Verb_ing (Ving)
    eg : My mother is not cooking
 
3. Interrogative
    be (am,is,are) + Subject + Verb_ing (Ving)?
    eg : My mother is not cooking

Adverb of time
Now, at present, at this time, at this moment, still, these days, be quite! listen! watch out! sssttt!

Note : 
    don't use stative verbs in this pattern
- know                    - believe                    - hear                   - see                    - want
- understand            - hate                        - love                   - like                   - taste
- have                      - need                       - appear                - suppose           - wish
- realize                   - mean                      - belong               - remember        - prefer
- sound                    - own                        - forget                - smell                - seem      
 
 2. Past Continuous  Tense
       
        The Past Continuous Tense describe actions or events in a timme before now.which began in the past and is still going on at the time of speaking.In other words,it expresses an unfinished or incomplete action in the past.

Here is the formula or past continuous tense:
 
1. Positif (+)
    Subject + be (was/were) + Verb_ing (Ving)
    eg : I was reading 

2. Negatif (-)
    Subject + be (was/were) + not + Verb_ing (Ving)
    eg :  I was not reading 

3. Interrogative
    be (was/were) + Subject + Verb_ing (Ving)?
    eg : Was I reading?

Adverb of time : ago, last, yesterday

Note :

* Simple Past tense + when/while + Past continuous tense
* Past continuous tense + when/while + Simple past tense
* when/while + Simple past tense, Past continuous tense
* when/while + Past continuous tense, Simple past tense

3. Future Continuous  Tense
         Future Continuous  Tense the future refers to an unfinished action or eveny that will  be in progress at a time later than now. The future cintinuous is used for quite a few different purposes.
The future continous can be used to project ourselves into the future.
Here is the formula of future continuous tense:

1. Positif (+)
    Subject + will be + Verb_ing (Ving)
    eg : She will be watching

2. Negatif (-)
    Subject + will + not + be + Verb_ing (Ving)
    eg :  She will not be watching

3. Interrogative
    will + Subject + be + Verb_ing (Ving)?
    eg : will she be watching?

Adverb of time : At........, tomorrow, tonight, next
